Yes, you read the title correctly, that time you waste everyday holds great opportunity! Do you even feel guilty after wasting time on things you feel are silly?
Honestly identifying how much time you’re spending on what you would consider a distraction and evaluating whether you want to continue is powerful.
For example, maybe you spend 3 hours a night scrolling and shoe shopping online. They’re shoes you never seem to wear, don’t have the money for and just don’t need. Maybe you feel like you need the one hour a night to shoe shop to decompress, but then you have two hours dedicated to some thing you really want that’s beneficial to your life. Maybe you’re looking to work out more, cook healthier meals or learn something new for your career.
Whether it’s social media, Netflix, TV, or some other distraction if you feel it’s not benefiting your life you can repurpose those hours into something constructive for your life.
While no one is perfect and no one is completely disciplined 100% of the time, this has helped me better navigate feelings of overwhelm, be more productive and happier.
Just thought I would share some thing that has helped me.
